Our carers are available to assist you or your loved ones for as long as you need them. If this is for a period of rehabilitation until you are back to full health or if you are travelling to an area that your current support network does not cover. At Scottish Carers we believe that you shouldn't be tied to scheduled visiting hours that are controlled by an agency - you are in control of the number of visits per day or per week you require, and at a time of your choosing. Simply agree this with your carer and work with them should your requirements change.
If you require a carer to be with you at all times in your home, then we can introduce you to the right person for this. At Scottish Carers, we will provide you with the contact details of carers who are in your area and who can support your requirements at home, day or night.
At Scottish Carers we believe that palliative carers play an important role throughout this incredibly difficult time for you and your family. We pride ourselves in ensuring that any of our palliative care team are experienced in these circumstances and will support you and your loved ones at all times.
Our care team believe that being an active member of the community is important socially and psychologically for everyone in our care. At Scottish Carers, our team will promote independence in all our clients wherever possible, and will encourage you or your loved one to venture out to community events and interact with others in the area.
Our care team can support you or your loved one by carrying out supportive tasks, including medication collection, grocery shopping, accompanying you to appointments, or even the important things such as picking up a birthday card for a family member. Your carer will ensure your daily routine is supported whenever you require this without being intrusive in any way. Quite often our carers are quite simply great companions for you or your loved one - someone to laugh with, someone to share stories with or someone to watch TV with - they are there for you as you need them.

Testimonials
The team at Scottish Carers were simply amazing – they helped us arrange care for our elderly aunt during a very challenging time for our family. They provided us with much needed support to help cope with looking after our aunt – following her diagnosis with Alzheimer’s we found ourselves a little out of our depth – the carers that are visiting my aunt daily are just like family! She loves their visits and enjoys chatting with them while they look after her.
After our mum’s double knee operation, we were finding it difficult to help her around her house. We contacted Scottish Carers to find a local carer that could pop in every day to help her with getting washed and ready – Diane was a God send – she hit it off with mum straight away and encourages her to do her movement exercises too.
Scottish Carers gave us the contact details for a few Carers in our area. We met and chose Laura to help us after our mother suffered a stroke at home and was in hospital for 3 months. When we got mum home we found we needed help to continue her recovery as we were working full time and couldn’t afford to give up our jobs. Laura is terrific! She challenges mum to keep going with her physical exercises and builds up her confidence every day.
